1. April Enrollment: 48,000 yen (monthly) × 12 months (maximum)
2. September Enrollment: 48,000 yen (monthly) × 6 months (maximum)

As per the scholarship foundation, international students who fail to enter Japan will not be awarded the scholarship payment. Scholarships may also cease to be granted if you do not enter the country by the specificied date.

• Have applied to APU from outside Japan and do not have a long-term residence in Japan at the time of application.
• Do not have Japanese nationality.
• 在 APU 入學之前必須獲得在日本學習的學生簽證。
• Be a privately financed student.
• The average monthly remittance from your financial sponsors must be 90,000 JPY or less (excluding expenses for admissions fees and tuition, etc.).
• (Only if you have dependents residing in Japan) The annual income of the dependent must be less than five million JPY.
• Have the necessary language skills to enroll at APU. Note that applicants taking the TOEIC® L&R Test must have 780 points or higher, while applicants taking Duolingo must have 100 points or higher. ^*Applicants who are exempt from submitting English language proficiency scores also meet the eligibility criteria.

Submission deadline: April Enrollment - February 28, September Enrollment - August 31

• Have participated in any activities listed below organized by the Study in Japan Global Network Project prior to the deadline below:
  • Consulted with overseas study coordinators and network organizations.
  • Participated in educations fairs (physical or online) organized by the Study in Japan Global Network Project.
  • 訪問海外網絡組織辦公室。

  Participation deadline: April Enrollment - December 31, September Enrollment - June 30

• Have a nationality of a MEXT designated country, and not have Japanese nationality.

The Study in Japan Global Network Project was launched by the Japanese government to encourage international students to come and study in Japan. In collaboration with Japanese universities and the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), the network organizes education fairs, consultation services, establishes overseas offices, and promotes studying in Japan through various social media platforms. 結果通知

If you are selected to receive either of the JASSO scholarships, you will be notified by the university after your enrollment to APU. Results of the JASSO Scholarship will not be released prior to enrollment.
