Announcement of Additional Application for April 2022 Enrollment

An additional application period for April 2022 enrollment will begin November 18, 2021 until November 30, 2021 for applicants residing outside Japan. See the application handbook from our downloads page for more details. The additional application page is now available.

Update Regarding the Change to the Testing Method for J-CAT for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University International Undergraduate Applications

Additional Accepted Japanese Language Proficiency Tests for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University International Undergraduate Applications

We will now also be accepting JPT and J-CAT for international undergraduate applicants for 2021 admissions.

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University’s Response to the Cancellations of the 2020 EJU (First Session) and the 2020 JLPT (July Session) for 2021 Admission

Due to the worldwide spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) has announced the cancellation of the first session of the 2020 Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). In addition, the July 2020 test of the Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) has also been cancelled.
In view of these situations, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) is taking the following actions to ensure that applicants can still have an opportunity to apply for 2021 enrollment.

Announcement: Handling of the IELTS Indicator for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Undergraduate Applications

We will now also be accepting IELTS Indicator as an official English language proficiency test score for international undergraduate applicants.

APU’s Response to the Expansion of the Declaration of a State of Emergency to all Prefectures in Japan

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
APU's website has been updated with the university's response to the recent announcement to extend the State of Emergency to all prefectures in Japan. This announcement has updates about online classes, changes to the current semester, as well as information about access to campus. Be sure to read through the update thoroughly.

Announcement: Handling of the TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition for Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University Undergraduate Applications

We will now also be accepting TOEFL iBT® Special Home Edition score reports as an official English language proficiency test score for international undergraduate applicants.
