FAQ
Yes! Many of our English-basis international students have never visited Japan or studied Japanese before studying to APU. Almost all courses at APU are offered in both English and Japanese, meaning applicants only need proficiency in one of these languages at the time of enrollment.
When you come to APU, where students come from over 100 countries and regions around the world, you will hear a variety of languages every day. All campus announcements, orientation, etc. are in both Japanese and English. Additionally, 98% of classes offered to undergraduate students are in both Japanese and English (100% of graduate courses are offered in English).
