JDS
Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource
Development Scholarship

Ever since opening in 2000, APU has been delegated by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to receive students on the Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) program. The JDS program gives outstanding young government or business administrators from developing countries in Asia an opportunity to study for free at a graduate school in Japan. The students, who must come from a country that has a market economy, are expected to become leaders in their respective countries after participating in the JDS Program. The program is funded by Official Development Assistance (ODA) Grant Aid from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and gives full financial assistance to students throughout the duration of the program.
