Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about APS.
Yes, absolutely. Many of our international students arrive with no prior Japanese language skills. Since most courses are offered in both English and Japanese, you only need proficiency in one of these languages before enrolling.
To graduate, all students are required to take intensive language courses (Japanese for English-basis students and English for Japanese-basis students). We strongly recommend learning basic Japanese before you arrive in Japan to help you adjust smoothly and have a strong start in your language courses.
APS is where global diversity meets real-world learning. With students from over 100 countries/regions, you experience the world every day on campus. Here, learning goes beyond theory—through daily discussions, group work, and On and Off-Campus Projects, you turn your knowledge into practice. This cycle of learning and doing deepens your understanding, builds your abilities to create new value, and prepares you to lead on a global stage.
APU provides extensive career support through the Student Office, helping students with job hunting and post-graduation plans. Every year, 90+% of job-seeking APU students received at least one offer by graduation. Some students continue to graduate studies at APU or other universities around the world.
