- He completed his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Delhi in 1997 after acquiring his master’s degrees in Finance and International Business. He has received a number of academic awards such as the ICCR Fellowship, UGC Junior and Senior Research Fellowship (India) and JSPS (Japan). As an Asian Scholarship Fellow (ASF) he spent a year in Vietnam studying the role of doi-moi in poverty reduction. He was also a Fulbright Scholar, completing post-doctorate research on US-Mexico trade at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. His research interests include the developments of regional trade, macroeconomic issues and finance. His works have been published in Contemporary South Asia, Finance India, Journal of Comparative Asian Development, Asia Pacific World and many other PRJs. Prior to his appointment at APU in April 2010, he pursued his academic career at three universities in Bangladesh for a total of 12 years. He had a brief stint as the Economic and Political Adviser at the Canadian High Commission in Bangladesh.

Prior to his appointment at APU, he was an Associate Professor at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and a Research Associate at City University of Hong Kong. His current research interests are service quality and innovation in the health care industry. His work has been published in Organization Studies, Research Policy, Ecological Economics, Small Business Economics and many other PRJs. He is a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Leisure and Tourism Marketing and the International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management.

She is currently a Field Leader for marketing in APM. She has developed her academic career working at universities in different countries such as New Zealand, and currently Japan. - She completed her Ph.D. in Management Research from the University of Strathclyde, UK, in 2009 after acquiring a master’s degree in International Management. Her research interests are international management and global CSR and she has collaborated closely with scholars and practitioners in Japan, the UK, Malaysia, Ireland, Australia and Korea on research such as ‘Missing employee in CSR discussion’, ‘CSR comparative study between the UK and Korea’ and ‘CSR and Creating Shared Value’. She is keen to develop a ‘CSR comparative model between the East and West’. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics, and the European Journal of International Management. She is also a Visiting Fellow of ICCSR at the University of Nottingham, UK. Prior to her appointment at APU, she taught at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia and the University of Strathclyde and the University of Edinburgh in the UK. Before entering academia she worked for 12 years as an international relations professional.

- Kumiko Miyazaki is an emeritus professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology and has served as a specially appointed professor at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University since April 2020. Her research topics cover innovative empirical research in the fields of strategic management of technology and sector innovation systems, focusing particularly on the high tech and information communications sectors. At APU, Miyazaki teaches courses on topics such as the management of technology, national innovation systems, entrepreneurship, venture entrepreneurship, and product development.
Miyazaki has ten years of work experience in the industry in the UK, Canada, and Japan. In addition, she has acted as the chair of the Japan Society for Research Policy and Innovation Management. Currently, she is a board member of the Japan Society of MOT as well as a board member of the Japan Society of Information and Communications Research. She is also a member of the Science Council of Japan. Since 2017, Miyazaki has been a visiting professor at the Open University of Japan, where she is delivers a course on technology management via radio.
Miyazaki is the author of the book Building competences in the firm: Lessons from Japanese and European Optoelectronics (Macmillan, 1995).

He is currently a Field Leader for Accounting. Prior to his appointment at APU, he worked in academic administration as a Vice Rector and Associate Dean and lectured in MBA and executive programs at various universities, including Les Roches, KIMEP, KBTU, MONASH CHINA, and JINAN University. He has deep industry and public sector audit, tax and consulting experience at a senior level after appointments at Deloitte Tohmatsu, Toyota and The Pentagon.

After completing his dissertation on economic growth theory, he then researched at the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm for 10 years. He also worked as a visiting scholar at institutions in the USA, Japan, mainland China, Austria, Singapore and Hong Kong. His research interests are nonlinear economic dynamics, growth theory, trade theory, East Asian economic development, and Confucianism. In addition to being sole-author of 22 academic books published in English by international publishing houses, he has also published more than 240 academic articles in international PRJs. He sits on the editorial board of 12 international PRJs. He is currently Top author in Japan and Top 46 in the world in terms of number of journal pages weighed by number of authors.

Prior to her appointment at APU, she worked for HSBC Group as a Finance Manager and then Account Manager at HSBC Services Japan Limited. She also acts as a Financial Government Monitor for the Kyushu Local Finance Bureau, Secretary of the Japan NPO Bank Network, and is a board member for the Entrepreneurship Support Program for Refugee Empowerment.

- Professor Yamaura is currently researching consumer behavior e.g., analyzing consumer preferences toward foods and country-of-origin after the Great East Japan Earthquake using surveys. He is also looking at food system analysis, e.g., estimating market power on food systems under various conditions, and socio-economic analysis, e.g., assessing the indirect socio-economic impacts of global warming.
