What is ST?

ST is where you learn to build a better world by connecting environmental protection with sustainable tourism. Your learning goes beyond the classroom through fieldwork and practical training, using the latest data and digital tools to find real solutions for society’s challenges. Our faculty bring extensive experience in the fields of environment and business, ensure the latest global and local trends are part of your learning.

In ST, you will learn to reimagine the value of local resources—found in nature, history, and culture—and connect them to the future in sustainable ways. By balancing environmental protection with using resources creatively through tourism, you'll gain the skills to contribute to regional development and advance global SDGs.

CONCENTRATIONS

Two Integrated Pillars of Study

The program is structured around Sustainability and Tourism, with students completing 10 required credits in both fields. Within this framework, nine concentrations provide diverse pathways that connect and complement one another.

SUSTAINABILITY

  • Environmental studies

    Acquire an academic foundation through natural, societal, economic, and educational aspect

  • Resource management

    Study about the appropriate management of the environmental and natural resources in society, focusing on the circular society, energy, and climate change.

  • International Development

    Examine the global issues of poverty and development from the perspectives of fields such as sociology, anthropology, economics, and policy studies.

TOURISM

  • Tourism Studies

    Deepen knowledge in tourism studies from aspects such as economy, society, history, and culture, which are fundamental to further learning

  • Hospitality Operation

    Research service industry management, focusing on hotels and resorts

  • Tourism Industry Operations

    Recognize tourism as an industry, and investigate its methods in analysis, new product creation, and marketing.
