Discover Through Multicultural Learning

International news used to feel like something happening in a far-off land, but here, I have friends who are personally connected to those stories. Through deep conversations with professors and friends from all over the world—something I couldn't experience in an environment with only people from my own country—I’ve gained new perspectives. These daily interactions help me understand the complexity of the real world and accept it with an open mind.

Learn at a Deeper Level

Before each class, we read books and academic articles to build a solid understanding of the topic. Having that foundation allows us to explore issues from different perspectives, such as analyzing films through a political lens, and to think critically based on evidence rather than assumptions.
What I enjoy most is discussing these ideas with classmates from around the world. Hearing different perspectives has broadened my thinking and helped me understand what we learn in a much deeper way.

Expand Your World Through Words

At first, I wasn't confident about speaking in public. But APS is a place where having an opinion is respected more than being 'right' or 'wrong.' Even if I can't speak up during class, there are online boards where I can share my thoughts later, which helped me find the courage to speak at my own pace. Group work with international members can be tough, but by listening to different opinions and working toward a common goal, I’ve gained communication skills that truly work in the real world.

Challenge Yourself Outside Class

There are so many chances to push your limits, like participating in Model United Nations, attending conferences, or even getting published in academic journals. It’s not just about gaining knowledge; it's about proposing real solutions. These experiences allowed me to test my research and negotiation skills in the real world. The confidence and courage I gained to face 'questions without a single right answer' will be a powerful tool for my future career in the international community.
